Parzania is a newly discovered land full of chocolates, fruits, and ice-creams, where Parzan and his sister live with their parents and friends. Having seen these adorable kids playing in their parzania, you watch Naseer unable to stand and locate his lost son, Parzan. He has to find Parzan amongst a heap of corpses lying in backyard of the police station. One may not be able to realize the impact of a lost son on a happy family, but when you relate scenes…you are disturbed to an extent that you want to leave the cinema hall. I saw people leaving the hall because they could not watch the continuing violence on screen. I also saw my friends sobbing while seeing after-effects of riots.
There are tales which tell us where we stand as a society. Even if Parzania is an exaggerated story, the original version would not have been lesser in impact than horrible. The content of the movie is so heart-moving that brilliant performances by Naseer and Sarika seem less important. It’s like they did not have any other option to perform it the way they did. Sarika does not want to cry in front of her little kid to keep her faith in coming back of Parzan. She goes inside the bathroom, and weeps her heart out, but silently. You see sister of Parzan sitting in the court room, listening to terrible stories narrated by the riot affected habitants of the hell-city. A thought comes to your mind that some time ago, same girl was listening good stories of human race by her mother, and you realize the importance of 20 minutes of the movie in which a happy and good life was lived by this family. The girl lost all her concepts of good society when she confronts with evil of society in one single day. The day will change the complete perspective of her life.
The director has not compromised the content to any thing, which is very rare in today's Bollywood movies. The authenticity, sincerity and completeness of the content are compromised with some or other kind of commercialism in today’s times. Parzania is a movie which should be promoted at any cost. Even if this kind of movies can not be seen and appreciated by all, they should be made and supported.
